Girl's Day Out Blogger Event

Like most girls, I love a girly day out, and recently I found out about an amazing 3 day beauty, fashion and all around girly event in Glasgow called Girl's Day Out. I was invited along by the lovely people over at Girl's Day Out to their blogger event in Glasgow to find out about their show. The evening was filled with amazing exhibitors, nibbles and cocktails and amazing fellow bloggers, and it has really got my excited for the Girl's Day Out Show.

The event was held at the beautiful Metropolitan Bar, which was am absolutely beautiful venue for the event. The evening started with us lucky bloggers being given our own individual press passes on a pink lanyard, which grant us access across the three day event in December and a delicious glass of Prosecco. I think that giving us all our own personalised press pass upon arrival was a lovely touch, as it felt very official, and it came in hand for keeping tabs on everyone's names.

After we got out passes and prosecco we headed into the room and I was stunned by how stunning it was. There were beautifully decorated tables with afternoon tea cake stands, lovely sandwiches and bottles of prosecco on ice. I was attending the event with a few of my blogger friends, Robyn (heythererobyn, Jordanne (The Life Of A Glasgow Girl) and Charlene (Charlene Does Beauty). We headed to an empty table very by the presentation area and got seated. On the table were lovely information booklets about the Girl's Day Out Show, and on each of our seats was an amazing goodie bag packed with incredible goodies. While we waited for the presentations to begin, we got busy snapping tonnes of photos of the beautiful decor around us and sipped on our drinks.

Once everyone was settled in their seats, we got a lovely introduction from the lovely Julia, who spoke to us about the Girl's Day Out show, telling us all about the event and what it was all about. She was so lovely, and we got amazing information about the show, and what we could expect from the upcoming event. The show is Scotland's biggest event for all things girls. There are exhibitors from all of a girl's favourite areas, including beauty, fashion, cocktails and of course entertainment (including singers and make dancers.). There are booths from some of the country's biggest beauty brands such as Urban Decay, amazing hair styling booths, massages and fashion shows to pick out a few of the many exhibits on offer to those going along. After hearing all about the show from , I was so excited for the event in December because it sounds like the perfect day out: shopping, cocktails and entertainment... sign me up!

Afterwards a whole array of lovely speakers who will be having booths at the Girl's Day Out Show in December came up to give us short talks about their brands. We had a spokesperson from the widely popular brand Fake Bake, who I'm sure many of  you know for their fake tanning products, who spoke about their tanning items and the trends in fake tanning, as well as their brand's new venture into beauty and skin care. We also had Ashleigh, the owner of F.A.C.E semi permanent make up, who was talking about her studio where she does semi permanent eyebrows, as well as make up applications. She showed us so,e examples of her work, and is was incredible! The brows looked super natural for being tattooed on.

At this point we were halfway through the presentation, and after a quick selfie break with Robyn, and a few nibbles, we had the lovely ladies from Urban Decay up to talk about their brands and some new releases that they have out, and those that will be coming out in time to be showcased at the Girl's Day Out Show. They spoke about their new All Nighter Foundation and the Ultimate Basics palette which are both stunning items. After that was the last speakers of the night, who were the lovely owners and stylists from Urban Hair and Beauty, who were speaking to us about some of the hair trends that are in style, and about how they will be stocking beauty products from make up artist Arianne Poole in the upcoming months.

After then presentations we had a chance to mingle, chat to the brands and get a hands on look at the brands in actions, Urban Decay brought along some of the new products to show off that we could look at, and we got some insider gossip about some new stand alone stores opening in a few cities around the UK which was so exciting. Massage and Glow were there giving out taster massage sessions, which was amazing. I was relaxed after my massage, it felt amazing. Urban Hair and Beauty were doing demonstrations of some hair styles. I love french braids, but I can't put them in my own hair, so I asked the lovely woman who was doing braids if she could do them for me and she was nice enough to give me some beautiful braids, which I was thrilled with. The were so well done, and looked amazing! I kept them in my hair for three days and they still looked as beautiful on day three as they did on the night they were braided.

I was absolutely thrilled with the event an I am so excited for the event in December. The people were lovely, and I am so excited to see some of the amazing brands who will be there over the three days.

The Girl's Day Out Show is being held this year from the 2nd - 4th of December and is being held in the Glasgow SECC.
