First Impression: Boi-ing by Benefit

Today’s post is a first impression post. I decided that this post would be about an amazing new make up product that I purchased recently. That product is the Boi-ing concealer from the geniuses behind Benefit cosmetics. If you read my last post you’ll know that last week I went on a shopping spree with Robyn and this was one of the few (well… 7) products I bought from Benefit.

On first look the  concealer comes in pink cardboard packaging with black and white detailing on the corners which adds a little class to the packaging at first glance. The front has a little window through which the product can be seen. I found that this was useful as you could see the sleep packaging of the actual product and you could also see the colour of the product which is useful for choosing the correct shade. The top of the package has a number in a little necklace tag print which I like as it adds a little extra detailing to the products packaging. The number is the shade if the product and I liked that it was straight on the top packaging so that you don’t have to look around the whole packaging for information about the shade. The background colour ono the tag is also the shade of the product with I found was a night little extra.

Now onto the product. The product comes in a sleek black container with a screw top lid. On first use I found that the product was extremely soft easy to spread. I used a concealer brush first and within the a few strokes on each side of the brush, it was fully loaded with product. With this product I have found that a little goes a long way. The colour is very true to itself and does not come out too light or too dark. I have rather purple dark circles and that was the reason I bought this concealer as I have read that it is excellent for covering up dark circles and blemishes. I have found that this is definitely the case. I applied a thin layer of the concealer under my eyes and my dark circles were covered extremely well and it looked like I didn’t have any. I spoke with a Benefit worker in my local Boots and she told me that Boi-ing was good for covering blemishes and spots as it has an acid in it that is good for neutralising spots (I’ve only worn it once so far) and as far as covering them goes when I used this concealer it was is if I has blemish free skin as it covered them so well. It was also useful covering discoloration on the skin. This concealer didn’t become cakey when I built it up and when I applied foundation an powder which was another thing I liked about it and it was long lasting. I wore it for the duration of that entire day and it stayed all day without having the be reapplied.

Overall I give this product a well earned 10/10 and I recommend it to anyone who need dark circles or blemishes covered. There are a variety of shades available and a little goes a long way so it is valuable for the price. I love it and it has become one of my favourite concealers that I’ve used.
