The Holy Grail Face

Beauty bloggers often tend to collect huge amounts of products over their time, we always want to try new brands and new products. I love trying out new items, but there are certain products that I will always love and repurchase because they for me are holy grail status. In this post I'm going to be giving you what I like to call my holy grail face, the products that I think are the best of the best that I own.

I love high end products, I find that they have some of the best quality out of the products that I own, but I do love my drugstore brands as well, so this post is a mixture of brands. I've thrown in my favourite brushes as well because these brushes are just amazing.

I have tried a couple of different primers in my time, from high end and drugstore brands and the one I've found that I reach for most is the L'oreal Infallible Mattifying Base. I love this products, it really is a very good primer and it does mattifying my skin and it is super lightweight, I don't feel like I'm wearing anything with this primer. It's very silky smooth, very light on the face, it goes perfectly matte and I notice my foundation applies very nicely with this underneath.

I have tried a fair few foundations in my time, some I have loved and some not so much but the one that I have been loving since I bought it is the MAC Studio Fix Fluid, which I am in the shade NC15. I love this foundation, it is perfect for my skin type and the shade match is amazing. I liquid formula of this foundation, I find that is blends so well and it looks so flawless and the coverage is amazing. I love that it comes in a bottle so you're not wasting a lot of product, and a little goes a long way with this foundation, 1-2 pumps evenly covers my entire face and down my neck. I love that the shade is so well matched to my skin tone, I am really quite pale so having a higher end foundation means that I have a pretty perfect colour match for my skin tone.

I love concealer and my holy grail for the under eyes is 100% the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, which I get in the shade 15 and the Benefit Erase Paste in the shade Fair for any blemishes. The Fit concealer is perfect for hiding dark circles under the eyes and brightening the area up, and the Erase Paste is perfect for covering up spots or blemishes on the face. I like to use different concealers for the different areas as the liquid consistency of Fit Me is perfect for under the eyes and the thicker consistency of Erase Paste is amazing for blemishes.

The setting powder I have been purchasing and repurchasing for years is the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in this shade Translucent. It is the perfect powder for setting your foundation and concealer and keeping it matte. It has no colour pay off and it doesn't feel cakes on the skin and it is super lightweight. I love this powder, it is perfect.

I have been really loving eyebrows recently, and I have a tone of eyebrow products in various formulas by various brands, but the one I have found I love the most is the Maybelline Brow Satin in the shade Medium Brown. I love this product, what sold me was that there is a pencil end to shape your brows and a powder end to fill them in. I love this product, and it is such amazing quality for the price.

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you'll know that there is only one eyeliner that I will be holy grail status for me, and that is the Benefit They're Real! Push Up Liner in black. This eyeliner is my all time holy grail, I have tried other eyeliners from other brands and I love them, but this one is just the best of the best. I absolute love this product, and it will always be one I repurchase.

This is one product that I have bought and since buying it have stuck with religiously I love it that much, and that is the Benefit Rollerlash mascara. I love this mascara so much, I can't fault it in anyway. It irks my lashes, it delegates my lashes and it leaves them so black, they look so luscious after using this mascara. I am in love with this product.

This blusher is my holy grail blush, it's the Benefit Hervana blusher. I think this shade is the perfect pinky toned blusher for me. I have pale skin and this blusher is a lovey wash of pale, rosy pink. It's lovely and light and blends perfectly, I love it. I love the scent of this powder, it smells like a vanilla type scent.

This bronzer is a product that I bought recently and since then it has become my holy grail, perfect matte bronzer which is the Too Faced Chocoloate Soleil bronzer. This bronzer is everything, it is so perfect on my skin tone and it blends amazingly well. It gives a lovely matte bronze to my face and it is perfect for contouring as it applies and blends so nicely, and it smells exactly like chocolate. It's heaven in a compact.

I really love highlighters, which is why my holy grail is 100% theBalm's Mar Lou Manizer. It is the perfect highlighter, and the pigmentation not his product, wow oh wow. It's stunning, it is perfect shade for highlighting as it is so helmed able and it gives a really lovely bright glow to the skin and you look so bright and it has a fantastic shimmer, I love it so much and the packaging is so adorable.

Lip products are one of my favourite product to buy, I love having lipstick on and my holy grail lipstick is definitely a MAC lipstick. I have so many of them and my favourite finish is matte. I love every shade I own so it is hard to pick one shade so my top five are HoneyloveVelvet TeddyTaupeStone and Chilli. I love these lipsticks so much, I have 11 of them so if you want to see them all along with swatches you can check out there posts here and here. They are such good quality for the money and they last forever. They are amazing.

Setting Spray
I love to use a setting spray to set my make up as I feel like it makes a huge difference to the staying power of my products, and the one that is holy grail in my eyes is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I love this spray so much, it is so fresh and light and it keeps my make up in place all day and it doesn't budge, it's a winner. It is such good value for money, as I buy the travel size one and it last so long.

I use a small handful of brushes for my make up. I have tried various brands and types of brush, but these are the ones that I always come back to. I use the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for applying my foundation and blending my erase paste concealer, and it works incredibly. I use the Spectrum B03 Brush for applying undereye concealer because t is perfect for patting the product under my eyes and it so soft and gently on the skin, and it doesn't move the roof it are kind too much which I like. I use the Real Techniques Powder Brush for my setting powder as it's a big fluffy brush and perfect for distributing the products. I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush for blusher, bronzer and highlighter and it works so well, I love that it has a rounded tip so it is pretty good for placing the product, but it is big and fluffy for blending it out.
