It's here, the Christmas season is finally here! To start of the festivities here on hiyaitsashley, I'm going to talk about the first festive event I attended this year, with my trusty favourites, St Enoch Center.

A Halloween Night In

I love Halloween and all things spooky, so for me, October is one of my favourite months. When it comes to Haloween, I love to celebrate it, and usually in smaller ways. In this post I wanted to share with you some little ways you can celebrate Halloween, if going out to a party isn't your cup of tea, or your not a big fan of things that are too scary.

What I've Been Watching

I love watching TV and movies, it's something find a lot of fun, and with me there's a lot of genres of TV and movies that I watch. I love a bit of sitcom or drama, and I love a good comedy, action or horror movie, so I always find myself watching new shows. It's been a little bit since I've done a post about the tv and film I've been loving so I thought it was time to share a new one with the new ones I've been loving and the ones I've been catching up on.

3 Years Of hiyaitsashley

Hooray, hiyaitsashley is 3 years old! I'm a couple of weeks late with this post, but back on the 25th of September 2017, my blog has been up and running for 3 whole years. It really doesn't seem like that long at all, the time has flown by. Since I've hit this little birthday recently, I though now was a good time to look back on the last three years of hiyaitsashley, and see how far its come, and where I want it to go.

A Perfect Evening

Everyone's perfect evening is different, but for me, my perfect evening is spending time with friends, having a good meal, and watching movies. There's nothing I like more than that, its the best way to relax and spend a few hours. Thanks to the lovely Suzanne over Hummingbird and the always accommodating people at Glasgow Fort, I got to enjoy my perfect evening.

New Beauty Loves

Recently I have been on a bit of a new make up quest, aiming to try out some new products, and switch up my collection a little to find some new products that work form me. I though I would come on here and do a post about them, because I know I love finding new product through blogs, and some of these items are too good to pass up.

Super Lunch at Jamie's Italian

I love Italian food, that's no secret here on hiyaitsashley. Living in Glasgow means that there are a lot of amazing Italian restaurants to eat at, and I have tried a lot of them. One that I had been dying to try out for a long time was Jamie's Italian on George Square, and not long ago I was invited down to try out the new Super Lunch menu at Jamie's Italian.

Four Favourite Fragrances

I love anything that smells good and I love things that make me smell nice. I like having perfumes and body sprays that smell good, and for me perfume is a luxury product. I often love the scent of high end perfumes, but it is a product I don't often buy, mainly because perfumes are very expensive, and some of them just don't last the way I want them to for the price point. I have four fragrances that I love, 3 high end perfumes and 1 body spray and that are three scents that I love and think are worth the money.

Doing Something I've Always Wanted To Do

Okay, so I'm quite geeky, I like nerdy things, that's no secret. It has long been a dream of mine to take part in an Escape Room and to play Laser Tag, (just call me Barney Stinson). But really, I absolutely love puzzles, and I have always been intrigued by the idea of escape rooms, I like a challenge. As for laser tag, well that's just fun, who wouldn't want to shoot people with lasers and jump scare them whilst running around a dark room? Well, thanks to the amazing people at ClueHQ and LaserQuest in Glasgow, last week I got to live out this dream. And it was epic. Spoiler: We escaped!

The Hairdryer That Stole My Heart

We've all been there, the internal dilemma that comes after washing our hair, do I blow dry it? For most of us, we have the same issue; most hair dryers suck, (oh, the irony). Don't get me wrong, they get job done, but at what cost? Most hairdryers are the same; they are really big which makes them harder to use and store, they are so heavy (seriously, how have I not got arms like Hulk Hogan?), they burn your scalp into oblivion, and they are so loud, seriously, why are the so loud? Or they do that ever annoying thing where they suck your hair into the back, and rip your hair from your head. Well, no more! Introducing the Dyson Supersonic, a hairdryer that you will make you actually want to dry your hair.

As someone who likes to try out different products regularly and watch new shows and movies, I end up loving a lot of new things, all the time. Recently I've had a lot of things that I've really been enjoying, from beauty products, to TV and music, so I thought I'd share them on here with you guys, and maybe you'll find a new product to try out or a show to watch.

It's summer, which means it's officially time for shops to be bringing their summer collections. This is one of my favourite times of the year, I love it when summer collections are released, and we get to see all of the beautiful new make up launches, and what new fashion trends we'll be seeing. Recently St Enoch's Centre in Glasgow put on a little event to showcase of some of their stores' new upcoming releases, and I got the chance to pop along and have a peek.

What's In My Bag: Summer Edition

So summer is here, and boy is it warm. If you live in the UK then you know that recently we have been experiencing a bit of a heatwave. Okay, maybe bit is an understatement, its been hot as hell. With the way the weather has been going I've welcomed a few new but simple additions to my handbag that have been helping me cope with the heat, so I thought I would share them with you, in case any of you are like me, and feel like you've been melting recently.

Those of you who know me know that I love food, in any format. I love pasta, pizza, America food, and high up on the list of foods that I love are burgers. I love burgers, especially fresh made burgers. Recently I had the chance to visit Glasgow's newest burger bar, The Counter, located at the The Quay, for their VIP

Beauty Products Worth The Splruge

Over the last couple of months I have been slowly growing  my make up collection to the point where I have an entire dresser full of products, and even more that are piling up, (the problems of a beauty blogger, eh?). There are a tonne of new products out there and some cult favorites that I have been loving lately, so I thought I would share them with you, so you can join me in buying way more product that we could even need at one time.
