Feeling Festive at St Enoch Centre

It's here, the Christmas season is finally here! To start of the festivities here on hiyaitsashley, I'm going to talk about the first festive event I attended this year, with my trusty favourites, St Enoch Center.

I love Christmas, it's my favourite time of year. There's just something about Christmas that gets me all excited. I think is the fact that the entire month of December, leading up to the big day, everyone is so festive and jolly, you know? It really is a season, and not just one holiday.

Last week I was invited along by the always lovely staff at the BIG Partnership to St Enoch's Center in Glasgow to check out their Christmas blogger event, and as always, it was amazing. I attended a similar one of these events with St Enoch back in summer, which you can read about here, and was really blow away by how amazing it was, so I already high hopes for the Christmas event.

The very first thing I noticed when I got to the event was just how beautifully decorated the space was, the amount of effort that had gone into the decorations was amazing. There were huge, white Christmas trees set up around the room, beautiful big reindeer and penguins (fake ones unfortunately), and light up present boxes. It really was beautiful. The even had Santa and one of his elves on hand throughout the night, and he never broke character, which was an adorable touch.

Set up at one end of the room was a little winter wonderland type set up, with more huge, white Christmas tress, some even decorated with shoes (as all tress should be in my opinion), and fake snow. As if this wasn't amazing enough already, there was a huge ring light on hand for optimal selfie and pose lighting, which I took full advantage of, cue some amazing slow motion, snow blowing action.

One really cool little feature that went on at the event was the mystery prize machine, where you used #ShopStEnoch on social media with your photos, entered your username into the machine and were generated a luxury beauty items. I was so lucky with my gift, I got a full size Benefit Brow Zings, and the worker was even kind enough to swap out the shade I got for my correct shade, which was awesome.

The food, as expected, was also delicious as usual. For the Christmas event the nibbles were supplied by Kimbles, and were amazing, the mini tarts in particular were a favourite of mine, I would for definitely buy a full size of them, the flavour was perfect.

Just like at the summer event, there was a good mix of brands there promoting their new launches. There were high end beauty brands like Guerlain and Bobbi Brown, skincare favourites like The Body Shop, rack and racks of beautiful fashion picks from brands throughout the St Enoch's Centre (my favourite was for sure the display of beautiful velvet picks), there was even a stand with some incredibly delicious looking goodies from Aulds the bakery.

Set up in the middle were amazing displays of some of the brands bestselling products and gift sets, which I think was a really great idea, as it was a nice way to get some inspiration for what to buy people. (and myself). I was particularly drawn to one of The Body's Shop's advent calendars, as they always look so amazing, and I am a huge fan of The Body Shop, and The Urban Decay Naked Vault Volume 4, which looked absolutely beautiful, and for an avid Urban Decay fan like myself, looked like a perfect gift.

After browsing the displays for a good while, and having a lovely chat with ofrom the BIG partnership (the geniuses behind the event), Robyn and I popped over to the Guerlain stand to see what was new there. Guerlain is a brand I've only just discovered this year (thanks to the summer event!) but it's one I have quickly become a fan of. We spoke first to , who is the new  for Guerlain who spoke to us all about the new beauty launches from Guerlain, all of which look incredible. The Guerlain Christmas make up collection this year includes the Gold Palette (a beautiful multi-use palette), Météorites Gold Light (stunning highlighter pearls), Rouge G (beautiful lipsticks), Terracotta Gold Light (golden bronzing powder) and Gold Light Topcoat (a brow, lash and hair golden mascara).

I was particularly excited over the beautiful new Gold Palette, the shades in the palette are stunning, and I think range is quite good as well. The shades are more neutral shades, but there is mix of matte and shimmer to change up the look, especially with the beautiful gold shimmer shade. The palette also has two face powders for blush or highlight, and all o the powders can be used dry and wet, which I like as it make it a nice, versatile palette. I was also drawn in by the Météorites Gold Light highlighting pearls, as I have always been intrigued by loose pearls, but I've only ever seen them as bronzers, so this product caught my attention right away. The pearls look like they would give the most beautiful highlight, and the packaging is just stunning as well.

After that we had a chat with Harriett, also from Guerlain, who spoke to us about the brand's fragrances, If you read my blog regularly, you'll know that ever since I was introduced to the Mon Guerlain fragrance by Harriett at the summer event, it has quickly become one of my favourite ever fragrances. If you want to know more about Mon Guerlain in particular, you can check out this post about my favourite fragrances where I talk all about it. She informed us that Mon Gurelain is the UK's top selling new perfume this year, and I'm not surprised, it is well deserving of the title!

Once we had had a chat with Hariett, we took a little time to wander around some of the other stalls anf have a look. At the Aulds' table I tried their amazing cheesecake, and oh my god, it was incredible. If you know me, you know that my all time favoruote dessert is cheesecake (of any kind) and this one was amazing, I really like that he base was cakey, it was quite unique. Next up was The Body Shop's section, where we had a good sniff around the new festive scents. My favourite was definitely the frosted plum, it smelled amazing. Last up on out little tour of the brands was Bobbi Brown, who have just opened up a section in Debenhams. We has a play around with some of their products, and some of the shadows were absolutely stunning.

This event was the perfect way to kick off the festive season, and I'm so grateful to the St Enoch Centre and the BIG Partnership for inviting me along.

Are any products from these bands on your Christmas list? What is your favourite thing about the festive season?
