It's Christmas Time at St Enoch Centre

Happy December! Can you believe we're already here, into the last month of 2018? It's crazy! On Tuesday I popped along to St Enoch Centre for their 2nd annual winter press event, you can see my post about last years one here. Just like it was last year, it was the perfect way to kick off the festive season for me, and for hiyaitsashley!

At the eve there were so many amazing festive things going on, and it was so much fun to see all of the decorations and the new items from all of the brands! And the decor, my god it was stunning. There were massive white Christmas tress all around, the displays were tied up with big red bows, the potted tress had 'stop here' signs, and there were some stunning festive floral arrangements for us to take home from the wonderful Urban Bloom! It was like a true winter wonderland!
The very first thing that we got to do upon arriving and getting a lovely glass of Prosecco was to pay their personalised 'hook-a-bear' game that has been set up, which as such an adorable touch. The team has gotten everyone a personalised Hamley's teddy bear with out name on it, and we got to play the classic carnival game where we had to hook our own bears from the display, and we got to keep it afterwards! I thought this was such a lovely touch as it made everything so much more personal and it was such a good way to get everyone involved.

Once we had done that we decided to have a bit of a wander around the displays that were set up and up first was, of course, the food! As always the nibbles were provided by the lovely Kimbles who always completely smash it with the food. This year there were festive mince pies, roasted vegetable tartlettes, stollen and even festive chocolates! This even was the first time that I had ever tried a mince pie, and I loved the ones that I tried here! I tried the salted caramel mince pie and the mince pie with cognac. Both were delicious, and I would definitely have them again! The santa shaped truffles and the prosecco creams were also very delicious!

Next up after the delicious nibbles was the most adorable decorate your own hot chocolate bar from Kimbles, and I think this was the most amazing little touch to add in. It was another really smart way to get people involved. While everyone else had opted for to make a snowman in their hot chocolate, I opted for a different creative approach and decided to make a little Rudolph. He was very cute if you ask me! And a bonus, he tasted amazing! The Kimbles hot chocolate itself was very rich and creamy, the perfect hot drink for the festive season!

After that we took a little wander down to look at some of the bits and pieces that had been brought out from the amazing clothing stores in St Enoch. I noticed a theme of lots of red, sparkles and sequins which honestly I was living for. At this time of year I think red is a perfect colour that anyone can pull off, and it just feels and looks very festive. And who doesn't love a bit of sparkle at any time of the year, but especially Christmas? A few little bits caught my eye here, including a beautiful black, partially cropped top covered in in dome shaped silver studs. This top would be perfect for Christmas day, or a festive night out paired with some high-waisted trousers! I also saw a really nice, dark emerald green and black sparkly dress on one of the mannequins that was giving me Slytherin/Great Gatsby vibes, it was so nice!

The last, but but definitely by no means least, displays that I wanted to look at were the make up and body care ones because those were showcasing some of the newest make up items and gift sets that are on offer this year! The first thing that my eye were drawn to was the limited edition Kat Von D 'Fetish' eyeshadow palette. Oh my god, this palette is absolutely stunning! The packaging, the colours, just everything was spot on, and I have no doubts that the quality of the shadows is as amazing as the rest of her eyeshadow palettes, I swear by her formula!

The Body Shop also have some really nice looking gift sets this year, and if you know me you know I love my Body Shop satsuma or mango collections! Benefit also have some really nice gift sets on offer this year, with some of their best selling items and some cute minis too! There were even a peak at some of the Too Faced gift sets, which always look amazing and sell very fast each year!

Before we left I spotted some festive hats and accessories in the corner, so I couldn't resist trying them on for some fun selfies! There were a bunch of them, but my favourites where definitely the turkey hat (who doesn't love feeling like a good ol' christmas dinner, or Monica from friends?), the slightly glammed reindeer ears, and of course the classic santa hat, what can I say, its a classic for a reason!

As always it was an absolute pleasure to be invited along to this event! If you know my then you know that St Enoch Centre is my favourite shopping centre in Glasgow so it really is an honour to get to work with them on posts like this! If you're looking for some gifts for friends and family (or yourself!) this Christmas, some delicious sweets and nibbles or your know Christmas outfits, pop along to St Enoch Centre and see what they have, you won't be disappointed!
